wrecks for Station 75..
On August 10, 2010
Station 75 operated on 2 different MVA's
throughout the day. The first, Station 75,
Company 94, Waymart EMS, and Mobile 9 were
dispatched for a one car MVA with entrapment on
Route 6 near the Streamside Bar. Chief 75
requested 12 Rescue to be dispatched to assist.
Crews arrived to find one patient entrapped in
the vehicle. Crews went to work and cribbed the
car. Rescue 75 crews lifted the dash with the
Hurst Rams to free the patients feet and used
the hydraulic cutters to cut the excess metal.
Crews then assisted EMS and removed the patient
from the vehicle.
The second, Company
94, 12 Rescue, Waymart EMS, and Mobile 504 were
dispatched for a one car rollover with ejection
at the intersection of Route 6 & 170. Further
reports gave a corrected location of Route 6 &
Keen Lake Road. Rescue 75 was dispatched to the
scene.

Station 75 has busy day
On July 19, 2010,
Station 75 had two runs. First being a working
structure fire on Faller Road in South Canaan
and the second a possible structure fire on
Honesdale Road in Waymart. Visit the

75 assists Lake Ariel with vehicle into house
On July 7, 2010,
Rescue 75 was dispatched along with Company 1
and DNA Ambulance for an MVA with a car into a
house on Keystone Road near Anderson Road.
Rescue 75 crews assisted with stabilizing the
vehicle and the house.
Afternoon MVA
On Monday, May 31, 2010,
Rescue 75 was dispatched along with Company 43,
Waymart EMS, and Mobile 9 for a 2 car MVA with one car over the
embankment on White Oak Drive.

Kids visit
Station 75
On Tuesday, May 26, 2010, Two Pre-K
classes and a Girl Scout troop from Waymart visited the fire
station. The kids were given a guided tour of the fire station.

On Saturday May 22, 2010, Station 75
along with the
first alarm box
assignment were
dispatched for a
structure fire
on Robinson Road
in South Canaan.
75-11 arrived on
scene to report
a working
structure fire
with smoke
coming out of
all sides.
Rescue 75
responded within
minutes of
dispatch. Rescue
75 arrived on
scene and
entered the
structure with a
hose line to
start the fire
attack. The fire
was under
control in about
an hour from
dispatch. Many
other companies
operated on
scene and
assisted with
containing this
blaze. Companies
operated on
scene for about
5 hours. 75 Asst

75 runs MVA with
entrapment
On Thursday, May 20, 2010, Station 75, Waymart EMS, and Mobile 9 were
dispatched for a 2 car MVA with confirmed entrapment on Farview
Mountain. Rescue 51 responded with a full crew to assist. Rescue 75
arrived on scene and immediately went to work. The Rescue crews
stabilized the vehicle and removed the passenger side
front door, then
crews performed
a wide body cut on the vehicle to remove the patient out the
passenger side. Patient was packaged and
handed over to EMS.

attain National
Certification
On Saturday May 15, 2010, 3 members of
the Waymart
Volunteer Fire
Company
traveled to
Doylestown to
Bucks County
Community
College’s Public
Safety Training
Center for their
practical skills
test for the
Firefighter 2
National
Certification.
All three
members that
tested passed
their written
and practical
exams.
To date, the
Waymart
Volunteer Fire
Company has
8 firefighters
nationally
certified at the
FF1 level and 4
that are
certified at the
FF2 level.

Crews operate on
another morning
structure fire
On Monday morning of May 10, 2010 at
5:45am, Station 75, Waymart EMS
and our first alarm box
assignment were dispatched for a possible structure fire on Route
296 near North Baker Road. First reports from the scene reported a
working structure fire on Knobby Knoll Lane. Chief 75 struck out a
2nd alarm. Crews operated for many hours controlling this
stubborn blaze.

On Friday morning of May 7, 2010, Company 1, Station 75, and Waymart EMS were
dispatched for a structure fire on Shaffer Road in South Canaan at
08:54 hours. Shortly after dispatch, it was a confirmed working
structure fire. Rescue and Tanker 75 responded within 5 minutes of
dispatch with full crews. Rescue 75 arrived on scene and pulled two
hand lines assisting Company 1 with the fire attack.

weekend training
Over the weekend
of April 10th and April 11th, Waymart Deputy Shawn
Vinton and Firefighter Steve Piotrowski traveled to
Doylestown to Bucks County Community College’s Public
Safety Training Center for a Flammable Liquids of FF
Class. Also Steve attended a Structural burn session
that was during the day on Saturday. Both classes were
hosted by Station 24 (Greenfield). A big thanks goes out
to all the staff at BCCC, all the instructors in the
class, Station 24 (Greenfield), Station 18 (Clifford),
59 (William Walker), and 58 (Crystal) for all their
efforts and for supplying everything needed for the
weekend.
